Welcome to The Mountain Rookie Club

The Mountain Rookie Club is a community initiative created specifically for beginners in the world of mountains. The club is dedicated to providing opportunities for people to experience nature through various mountain activities, ensuring accessibility for individuals facing financial or other challenges.

This initiative focuses on individuals who, due to financial constraints or limited opportunities, have not yet experienced the beauty and power of the mountains. We aim to remove barriers and provide people from all walks of life with the opportunity to engage with the outdoors.

Central to the Mountain Rookie Club's approach is its collaboration with mountain huts and lodges across Switzerland. These partnerships are essential to creating meaningful and accessible experiences in the breathtaking mountain landscapes. The club also has a strong connection to Haus Gawaling—a retreat in the mountains cared for by three dedicated individuals: Chanel Liang, Lhaga Koondhor, and Paelden Tamnyen—which serves as an inspiring hub for some of these activities.
